Payment Methods
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and debit cards with the Visa or Mastercard logo. You may also use your PayPal account (please see note below), or pay by echeck through Paypal.

If using Paypal, your purchase is not complete until you finish the PayPal steps. If paying by echeck, payment must clear before we can ship your order. This typically takes 5 business days.

If the only method of payment available to you is by money order, please call with your purchase request and we'll give you instructions on how to complete your order by mail. (We cannot accept personal or business checks.)

PayPal, eCheck and Money Order customers please note: Unfortunately, due to past abuses, if the address provided on your order is incorrect, we must direct UPS to delay delivery until we can collect their address correction fee from you. If this happens we will make diligent attempts to contact you both by telephone and email, but if you do not respond, or decline to pay the fee, we will refund your order, less all charges billed to us by UPS for shipping and returning your package.

Placing an Order
Ordering from our store online is completely secure, but if you feel more comfortable placing an order with a human we'll be happy to assist you. Please call us at (360) 687-2810.

Immediately after you place your order with us, online or by phone, our system will send you an automated confirmation email. That will be followed within 24 business hours by an email from UPS with your tracking number and expected delivery date. We will then send you one more email with your invoice attached. We do not include a paper invoice in your package.

Those will be the only emails you'll receive from us. We don't have a mailing list, and don't sell, rent, or share any of your contact details with anyone. (Click here for more information about our privacy policy.)

Ordering a Gift
Gift wrap is free at Cat and Caboodle when your gift is sent directly to its recipient (unavailable when shipping to the purchaser). You can request this option in the Comments and Gift Detail box at checkout. Be sure to tell us how you'd like the gift message to read.

Because we need both a deliverable mailing and physical street address, please enter only a street address in the "Delivery Address" fields. If your recipient has different mailing and street addresses, please give the mailing address in the Comments and Gift Detail box.

Please note that if the shipping address you give us is incorrect, we reserve the right to pass UPS' address correction fee on to you, so please double-check your gift recipient's address carefully.

Shipping Information & Methods
Orders shipped within the continental United States are shipped either via UPS Ground or the US Postal Service, incur one flat fee of $9.95 for packaging and shipping ($6.95 for orders under $15), and are automatically tracked and insured. (See information below for orders sent to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico). Click here for information about international shipping.

We make the determination which service to use based on the order size and weight. Smaller and/or lighter packages under 2 pounds will generally ship via USPS Priority Mail. Larger, heavier, or more fragile orders will normally ship via UPS Ground.

Because of this, we need both a deliverable mailing and physical street address. Please enter only a street address in the "Delivery Address" fields. If we elect to use the postal service and your mailing address is a PO Box, we will use your mailing/credit card billing address.

If you are shipping a gift and you know your recipient has different mailing and street addresses, please put the street address for UPS in the address field, and give the mailing address in the Comments and Gift Detail box.

We do not require a delivery signature for orders under $150, but the determination about whether to require a signature is ultimately up to your UPS delivery driver, who may still require one.

Please note that if the shipping address you give us is incorrect, we reserve the right to pass UPS' address correction fee on to you. PayPal, eCheck and Money Order customers please note: If the address provided on your order is incorrect, we must direct UPS to delay delivery until we can collect their address correction fee from you. If this happens we will make diligent attempts to contact you both by telephone and email, but if you do not respond, or decline to pay the fee, we will refund your order, less all charges billed to us by UPS for shipping and returning your package.

Orders sent to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico will be sent via USPS Priority Mail and may incur an additional shipping charge. We will not charge you extra without contacting you first for approval.

Instructions for Canadian customers shipping to a US address: If your credit or debit card is drawn on a Canadian bank but you have a US address to which you can ship, you can call us and we will place your order, or follow the instructions below (we will still need to call you to obtain your credit card information):

(1) Fill out the Billing Information and Shipping Information sections on the last checkout page:
   (a) In the Billing Information portion, enter both your billing city and province abbreviation in the City field.
   (b) (Be sure that the Phone number you enter in this section is one where you be reached during the day.)
   (c) Leave Country field as-is ("United States") and select "Alabama" as the state.
   (d) Put your correct Canadian postal code in the Zip field.
   (e) Complete the Shipping Information with your accurate US shipping address information.
(2) In the Choose one payment method section at the bottom of the page, select "Split Payment".
(3) Click the Check out button at the bottom of the page.

The Split Payment option allows you to check out of our online store without making payment. This accomplishes two things: It reserves your items for you, and it will generate an email auto-acknowledgement of your order, so you can check its accuracy before we ship it.

We will call you to obtain your credit/debit card number and expiration date before we ship.

Transit Times
All orders ship within 24 hours of receipt, Monday through Friday.
Orders received by 2 PM PST Monday-Friday ship the same day.
Orders received after 2 PM PST Monday-Thursday will ship the next day.
Orders received after 2 PM PST on Friday will ship the following Monday.

The map below shows Ground shipping transit times to your location.Transit times do not include Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays*. When calculating, remember to begin counting the day AFTER we ship your order, since your order is picked up in the evening.

Expedited shipping is quite expensive - sometimes twice the value of the item you're having shipped. But if you really, really need it yesterday, please call us before or after you place your order so we can calculate expedited shipping charges. (Your order must be packed, weighed, and measured for us to advise you of these rates.)br>
If your order is a gift for someone you see frequently and you're running out of time, instead of paying for expensive expedited shipping, we often suggest either buying one of our gift certificates, or printing out a picture from our website of the item you've purchased and wrapping that up in a box.


*2011 Holiday Schedule: UPS does not pick up or deliver Ground packages on the following days: May 30th, July 4th, Sept 5th, Nov 24th & 25th, Dec 26th, Dec 31st, and Jan 1st, 2012.

Return Policy
We know that sometimes you change your mind. If you wish to return something you've purchased from us, it's important to send us an email first so we know the reason for return.

Items and their packaging must be
a) returned in original, new condition
b) postmarked within 30 days of delivery, and
c) sent using a trackable method (UPS, FedEx, or USPS with delivery confirmation). This is to ensure that both you and we have proof of delivery. Please choose one of our addresses above based on your method of return.

We don't penalize you with "restocking" fees, but shipping charges aren't refundable.

If you find defects or shipping damage, please contact us immediately and we'll advise you how to proceed.

Privacy & Security
We don't ever share or sell your information. The information collected on this site is for the sole purpose of billing, shipping, and contacting you in the event we need more information for your order.

We take security seriously. Our website uses 128 bit encryption to send your credit card information directly via secure connection to our online payments processor, Authorize.net. Neither our website software nor office computers store your credit card data. (We actually have no access to your full credit card number at any time.)

To prevent the fraudulent use of your credit card by someone not authorized to use it, if your confirmation email bounces and we cannot reach you at the phone number on your order, we'll automatically cancel your purchase and void the charges to your card.
